Two Colors

A parrot’s long tail
indeed tells a tale,
of how accurately
God beautified earth.

Yet, the music in the trees,
the chirping of all
the little birds,
and the redness in the lips
of babies, tells us how melody
is suffused in the heart of
God’s creation.

While visually accurate beauties,
the beauty in the minarets,
the carving of a fork-tail’s tail
have earned God’s lovely attention,

the melodious colors in this universe
have earned God’s affection…
